I’ve been dreaming of dining here for ages, and finally, the stars aligned during our drive back from a short trip. I saw the parking lot was jam-packed, and I thought, “Uh-oh, a wait ahead.” But nope! We were seated instantly, and Mackenzie, our server, was a total superhero handling the entire room. The salad bar, especially the warm bread and macaroni salad, was a hit. The fish was fantastic, even if the kitchen seemed a tad short-staffed – but hey, good things come to those who wait, right? The onion rings were enormous, and the bill? Totally reasonable. Plus, the cozy, rustic vibe – not to mention the peace and quiet – was just perfect.

Giving this place a solid 5-star rating for the flood of cherished childhood memories. It’s the kind of spot where you can take your kids, relish some heartwarming home-cooked food, and dive into a glorious salad bar. Everything’s fresh and scrumptious – especially the hot bread and those satisfying dinners. The chopped steak, in all its fresh and gravy-smothered glory, took me right back to Mom’s kitchen. And the waitstaff? Oh, they’ve got charm in spades. Seriously, if you haven’t tried this place, you’re missing out on a slice of the good ol’ days – fresh, delicious food and friendly service galore. Tonight’s supper was a blast from the past for our friend, who worked here three decades ago. He’d always raved about this place, especially the legendary fish & chips on Fridays. Well, guess what? It lived up to the hype! The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the prices were just right. The customer service? A+. The bar and restaurant are separate, by the way. Our waitress told us folks from Buffalo and Rochester even make the drive just to dine here. And Friday nights? Still buzzing with the fish and chips crowd. Trust me, you’ll leave with a full belly!

Dinner was simply excellent. We both opted for the pot roast special, and it was a flavor explosion! Tender, flavorful meat, heavenly mashed potatoes, and those carrots – oh my! And let’s not forget the salad bar, teeming with choices to amp up your lettuce game. Macaroni salad, coleslaw, and warm bread were the cherries on top. The service? Friendly as can be. We’re counting the days until we can return!

So, we decided to try this place out on a November night, and guess what? Thursdays mean prime rib for two at just $39.99. We kicked things off with the all-you-can-eat salad bar – it had everything you could dream of, and it was delicious! Then came the clam chowder and Buffalo shrimp – creamy soup and huge, flavorful shrimp, need I say more? The star of the show was, of course, the prime rib – a whopping 14 ounces of sheer excellence, cooked to perfection. Served in au jus – the way it should be! I can’t stress enough how amazing it was. Can’t wait to come back and explore more of their offerings.

Wow, the staff here is not only super accommodating but also incredibly friendly and efficient! The place was buzzing with activity, but guess what? Our food arrived promptly. And let’s talk about the food – from the prime rib to the seafood platter, it was all absolutely delicious. I mean, who would’ve thought a small rural hotel would have such an impressive menu?
